Jaw Rails!

I complete one jaw railing shown below, and partially completed the one above. I had to work on the rails in the house because it rained a bit, which made it even harder to work outside. Being a outdoor boat builder has a lot of challenges that must be constantly overcome. You have to find ways of working around your disadvantages. The reward is seeing the results from persevering through the difficulties.

It's Been A Long Time!

 I've been recovering from neck surgery, so things have been almost at a stand still, but through it all I'm finally adding deck rails to the boat. I also started working on the pedal mechanism. I added separators to the middle section where the mechanism is going to be placed. I'm currently trying to figure out how the mechanism should be mounted. I eventually have to document  the steps I took in constructing the boat. The boat has gained a lot of weight, which makes it no longer possible for me to lift it like I was able to before. I have to say that the boat is really coming along nicely. The Auset Fronds sister boat will be much easier to build, since I now knows what works, and what doesn't. I'm striving to make the boat much more uniform and sturdy. I brought some Urethane. originally for the dog houses to protect them from the elements. I realized that I can apply the Urethane to the fronds of the boat.So Now the boat is looking quite shinny.  So many idea
