Organization!

I been spending a lot of time processing and organizing everything that was donated to me. I finally am finished and I'm preparing to take the boat out  of the yard soon. I did an experiment with the dried palm leaves left over from some fronds I kept from awhile back. I have to say it came out okay. I'm posting this blog from my netbook. It's way more easier than blogging from a cellphone; not to forget that it's way faster also.

Aftermath!.

 I turned the boat over and  prepared it for hurricane Irma. I doubt the boat would have remained intact if the hurricane was a category 2 like hurricane Mathews was a year ago. Fortunately for us, the hurricane turned I.To a tropical storm when it reached Georgia. I'm getting ready to turn the boat back over again so I can finish securing the " Noodles" onto the bottom of the hull! Down Pour Error Messages!

It rained yesterday but the"Noodles" remained a tight bond even though there was wet adhesive. I removed more soft adhesive and the "Noodles" were stll bonded together. Applying the sealant helped. I finally bout 3 cans of rubber coating and well applying another coat before I start working on the other side.

A New Development!

As I was looking around at the fronds that I had propped up against the house, I decided to see how they would fit on the bottom of the underside of the hull! These fronds have a natural xurve to them that I thought is a better choice to use in order to get a more rounded hull bottom. These pieces came from fronds that were different sizes in length. Some being 8ft which I cut into smaller pieces. The next step is to see how I'm going to add these pieces to the hull. At the moment I thinking with thin nail of considerable length. Wanting to do something the way you imagine you could don't always work out the way you think they will.
