Camping Out!

The Auset Fronds looks like someone who has pulled the covers over them to keep warm. She's still waiting to be taken out the yard, so I can start working on her shallow deck. I had to add some more sealant to a few "Noodles that became loose from the rain we been having. The good thing is that the rest of the "Noodles" stayed tightly bonded together. I thought that the sealant I had left got dried out from sitting too long but I cut off a bit of the nozzle that had dried up sealant in it. That allow the sealant that was still syrupy to come out easily. I used the whole tube of sealant to bond the loose "Noodles" that got loose. Hopefully they will remain tightly bonded in the future. I decided to cover the boat with the sail I got from neighbors that lived across from me. I've decided to cover the "Noodles" with waterproof tape. I'm thinking of coating the tape with the rubber spray to make the tape more water resistant. I think adding tape would protect the "Noodles" from getting ripped when the boat is eventually moved. The Auset Fronds is a prototype that is an experiment in boat building. Whatever works I'll incorporate into the next boat I build. The goal is to do what works and discard what don't work well for the design.
