Sailing!

I turned the sail on the other side. There's zippers and hooks found on it. I have to research the type of sail this is and how it is rigged to the mast. At the moment it's making a great covering
for the boat.
I don't doubt that it's a sail because of the logo I found on it.
I'm very certain the sail was made for a specific type of boat. I took basic sailing with the NROTC at SSU for a semester, but the sails we used were for basic rigging.
Using this sail can't even be imagined right now because the boat is nowhere near finished, adding that I still have to test how buoyant the boat will be in the water. For what I thought would be a small project,  is becoming serious business. Not in the sense of making money, but being a real possibility of taking the project further.

.I was able to work on the boat over the weekend. I decided to loosen the binds on both ends of the boat. Hopefully the fronds will stay upright. I attached the fronds at the bow with some metal I made into fasteners. I'm plan on doing the same thing to the fronds at the stern of the boat. In order for me to be able to straighten the fronds at each end, I had to raise the boat higher. The next thing is to add more glue in order to seal all the fronds in place, which will strengthen the hull over all. A rubber sealant will then be applied once all the fronds on the outside of the hull is rock solid.

Aftermath!.

 I turned the boat over and  prepared it for hurricane Irma. I doubt the boat would have remained intact if the hurricane was a category 2 like hurricane Mathews was a year ago. Fortunately for us, the hurricane turned I.To a tropical storm when it reached Georgia. I'm getting ready to turn the boat back over again so I can finish securing the " Noodles" onto the bottom of the hull! The boat sits up nice and high which is an add plus besides the boat being buoyant.  I

Pinching!

I finished tying down the  "Noodles"  on the bow (front) of the boat. Tomorrow I'll tie down the rest of the"Noodles" that's on the stern (back) of the boat. I'm still adding more adhesive here and there. The "Noodles" are still sticking up, resisting the stress placed on them. Stepping back, what I'm doing really feels surreal.
