Too Long!

Image
It's been awhile since I posted any updates. I finally added the rubber coating today. I have a can of spray left because I broke off the nozzle by accident. I wanted to stand the boat up on the other side that's on the ground so I can spray the coating on the "Noodles" that the boat is resting on. I thought it wouldn't be a good idea because I'm still recovering from whip lash I got after being rear ended. Even though I'm out of commission I can still work on the paddle wheels. I won't be putting any strain on my neck and back. It also been very cold and rainy these last few days. I have to admit I'm happy to see the sun shinning through clear skies.

The Auset Fronds!

I turn the boat over on her side because I need to check if the "Noodles" are firmly attached to the fronds that's beneath them. I want to make sure the "Noodles" don't separate from the bottom of the hull. It rained for 2 . 1/2 days but the "Noodles" are firmly attached to each other as well as the hull. Happy can't describe how I'm feeling at this moment. It's more like feeling accomplished. Seeing something that I only imagined me doing I'm actually doing. This is truly a pinch yourself moment. Hopefully the weather will be pleasant because tonight the temperature is going to drop down to freezing.

Moving!

The boat is now ready to be turned over. First it has to be moved to it's new location. I'm planning on getting 4 large jacks to put underneath the boat to keep it from sitting on the ground. It rains quite a bit and I don't want the bottom of the boat to get stuck in mud if it does rain heavy. Right now it's only an idea about using jacks but eventually I'll come up with a way to keep the boat off the ground.
