Chiropracting!

I finally was able to work on the boat again. We've been having rain just about every day. There wasn't even thundering or lightening today that caused me to try and finish whatever I was doing in order to cover the boat up. I'm beginning to set the fronds on the stern(back) of the boat! It's like resetting bone that's been knocked out of place. I finished nailing the rest of the fronds down on the middle section of the boat. I also closed some of the gaps that I wasn't able to close after adding the fronds. I really made some head way today. I wanted to keep working on the boat but I can tell that I did enough for today.

Holding Down!

I started putting dry wall screws at the ends of the fronds instead of nails. I found that it's better than using nails that requires hammering. It's easier to use screws than nails. I was wondering if there's marine screws I can use instead of the dry wall screws?. Off to.Home Depot again. People who work at the store near me is beginning to remember me from previous visits. I'm always looking to see if they have things I need for different projects. I haven't finished adding screws to all the fronds yet but so far I like the results.Things are really coming along. Patience in the process is important In a project's development.

One More Time!

I added more fronds to the middle section of the hull. At first I was going to add waterproof tape to close up the gaps between the fronds underneath the fronds I just added , but the gaps was just too wide to cover with tape. I was able to nail the fronds on top to the fronds underneath. The next step is to add more nails to fasten the fronds to lay more straighter.

Putting In The Application!

Today I applied the glue that I actually been waiting on. To my surprise the glue started turning yellow. This type of glue, you don't want to get on your skin. It'll take a while to get off because it's like a form of super crazy glue. Certain types of glue you should always wear gloves.

New Edition!

It finally stopped raining after what appeared to be weeks with no end. I added more fronds and tape , closing the last of the gaps.

Putting In!
